Presentation

I hold a PhD in Linguistics, specializing in Computer Science, from Aix-Marseille Université. My doctoral research was supervised by Pr. Philippe Blache, Pr. Magalie Ochs, Pr. Roxane Bertrand, and Dr. Stéphane Rauzy. I also collaborated with Pr. Louis-Philippe Morency during a research stay at Carnegie Mellon University. I was funded by the ILCB and affiliated with both the Laboratoire Parole et Langage and the Laboratoire d'Informatique et Systèmes.

My research adopts an interdisciplinary approach to the study of human-to-human interaction. During my PhD, I focused on conversational feedback and its role in communication. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher funded by the Fyssen Foundation, working under the supervision of Judith Holler, Martin Pickering, and Kristof Strijkers on the EASE project, which investigates conversational alignment through speaker style. My research interests center on individual variability and adaptability in conversation, and how these factors shape convergence and alignment across verbal and non-verbal modalities, integrating perspectives from linguistics, cognitive science, and neuroscience.

My expertise includes:

I would be delighted to connect with anyone interested in discussing my research or exploring collaboration opportunities. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me at auriane.boudin@univ-amu.fr
